To plan the workstation load/schedule, the Advanced Production Planning module transmits the data in the system to the optimization engine, the optimization engine determines the best schedule and sends the results back to the system, and finally the system visually displays the results for viewing/editing.

Advanced Production Planning uses the production plan data, the operations in the product routing, the sequences, duration workstations of the operations, the inventory onhand, delivery of planned supplier orders, planned supplier orders, the capacities of the available workstations and machines and their operation times to create the optimum schedules.
